Such a beautiful a popular place to visit - it's crazy that this was my first time here! I've been trying to visit for the past year, but always something got in the way. When Yosemite finally opened up again for the summer (at half capacity with day use entry reservations!), I quickly jumped on it! More than excited to finally visit!

Harlee the adventure pup ready to explore!

We ended up reserving a dog-friendly campsite via HipCamp in Coursegold, CA, which was about a 40 minute drive to the South Entrance.
We woke up super early to pack a full day at the park (also to avoid the crowds and social distance!). Our day went a little like this: made breakfast at Tunnel View, hiked at Lower Yosemite Fall Trail, took a dip in the Merced River, squeezed in a car nap, drove up to Glacier Point to take in all the sights, then drove back to camp to eat some good ol' mac and cheese.
By the end of the day, I was relaxing under a clear sky of beautiful stars! (Totally wish I brought my camera gear to dabble in astro photography - next time! 😊)
It was a very full day of sights-to-see. It's definitely a teaser for upcoming trips! Definitely want to go up and do some bouldering and other hikes (eyeing you Four Mile Trail)! This won't be the last time - see ya soon, Yosemite!
Name-dropping the sights (though you may already know many of these 😉) // Glacier Point, Lower Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, El Capitan, and of course the adventure pup in her favorite new truck tent!
